Irene Gut Opdyke

Irene Gut Opdyke (born Irena Gut, 5 May 1918 – 17 May 2003) was a Polish nurse who gained international recognition for aiding Polish Jews persecuted by Nazi Germany during World War II. She was honored as a Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem for risking her life to save twelve Jews. Provided by Wikipedia
